Got questions about menus, bookings, or whether we can handle your weird and wonderful dietary needs? Step right this way.
Our menu offers options for some dietary requirements. However we recommend you make our team aware on arrival of any dietary requirements before ordering. We regret that we can not cater for those guests with severe allergies as food is prepared in kitchens where nuts, gluten and other food allergens are present.
Yes we do!
We serve food outside until 7pm during the warmer months
The largest bookable table online is for 6 people, for larger groups please give us a call.
All our tables are walk-ins only for lunch service.
In the evening our tables in the bar are for walk-ins only too. If you would prefer to make an evening reservation, please do this online for our Eating Room (we do not accept dogs in the Eating Room).
Dogs are welcome in the bar area. Dogs are not allowed in the Eating Room at any time.
Have you stopped by yet?
This weekend is the perfect time to pop over….it definitely feels like Autumn but we are looking forward to a dry weekend. 🍁🍂
There’s something special about a stay at the Kings.
Each of our bedrooms is individually designed with antique furniture, textiles, prints and brimming with character…..no two rooms are the same.
Recharge in the picturesque village of Hawkshead….starting with breakfast and then spend the day exploring the villages, lakes and mountains of the glorious Lake District National Park.
A great day spent hiking up Great Dodd, off-road driving….a pint and dinner at The Kings…..👌

Last week we welcomed former England star Will Greenwood to our sister cottage Prospect House in Ambleside, followed by dinner with friends at the Kings Arms.
Swipe through for highlights of Will’s trip…..this is exactly the kind of experience we love to offer; a little bit of luxury in the Lake District.
