Its cosy, full of atmosphere and there’s no need to book for lunch or dinner as the bar is walk-ins only…just pop to the bar for a menu whilst ordering your drinks. Four-legged friends are welcome on the slate floor in our bar.
Together with our wine supplier we have compiled a selection of both old and new world wines to compliment our food. There’s the old classics alongside some more unusual tipples that we love.
At the King’s Arms, we like to keep things lively with a calendar of laid-back happenings and local favourites. From live acoustic sessions and quiz nights to limited-run guest ales and seasonal tasting evenings, there’s always a reason to swing by, even if it’s just for “one”. We’re big on community spirit and even bigger on good times, so whether you’re a local legend or just passing through, you’re more than welcome to pull up a chair and join in.

It’s official….last night at the National Pub and Bar Awards, the King’s Arms was voted the best pub in Cumbria! Ross and Ollie were very proud to collect the award on behalf of their fabulous kitchen and FoH teams! Well done guys! 🙌

Only metres away from the pub, Alice’s Cottage is our 1 bedroom self-contained cottage. She has a kitchen/diner, wood burning stove, superking bed, bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower. Enjoy breakfast at the Kings as standard.
